My name is Edwin Friesen. I am an IT Architect at Ictivity and as part of my role daily involved to reduce the gap between business and IT. I am convinced that people becomes more productive when being inspired by mobility and being more self-sufficient. So, I am ready for change! Is your IT flexible and ready for change?
Since 2001 I am working at Ictivity. At the beginning of my career I worked at several servicedesk departments for many years within different companies. During that time I have learned that the internal IT consumer is key for a successfull business but also how much influence every IT-department had on how those consumers are doing their daily job.
Thereafter I am progressed to a Solution Consultant with a strong focus on application and desktop delivery. As part of this role I have successfully implemented several solutions from Microsoft, Citrix, VMware and RES in mid- and enterprise market.
In the past years I have experienced the importance of knowing your customers business. This has aroused my personal interest in particular Healthcare because there is “much emotion on the small square meter”.
Besides, in my journey from Junior Consultant to Solution Specialist our vision ‘User Based Computing’ is born. User Based Computing that mainly focus on the end user as an individual consumer. This vision helps us to better understand the service delivery to consumers from an IT-perspective.
Today, as an IT Architect I would like to work together with you to transform our vision into vigor towards a better Information Technology.
